microblading

What is microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent  technique for enhancing the appearance of the eyebrows in which pigment is scratched into the skin in fine, short strokes resembling hair, using a hand tool with a blade formed of tiny needles.

Our brow artist uses a microblade tool to apply color pigments that look like real hairs. The color effect will fade over time, so touch-ups will be necessary to maintain the desired look.

  • No waxing or plucking eyebrows within 2 days before the appointment.

  • No chemical peels and other intense facial treatments for at least 4 weeks before the appointment.

  • Wash and style hair before the appointment, as the brows must not come in contact with water for at least 7 days.

  • Stop taking fish oil or any other natural blood thinners, such as Vitamin E, at least 1 week before the procedure.

  • Avoid aspirin or ibuprofen for pain relief. (as these will thin blood)

  • No exercise the day of the appointment.

  • Must refrain from using retinol at least 2 weeks before the appointment.

  • Avoid blood-thinning medication 24 hours before appointment.

During
  • Before the procedure starts, the artist will use a topical numbing ointment on the brow area, which helps reduce discomfort during the microblading procedure.

  • The process is very detailed and can take up to 3 hours. It is important for the artist to take their time because the result will last for a few years and needs to be done well.

  • The client may feel a scraping-type of sensation in the brow area, but the process is usually only minimally painful and very tolerable.

After

After the microblading procedure, and for at least 1 week afterwards, your brows might appear darker. They also may feel sharper due to scabbing and healing. It is also normal to experience some redness and mild swelling.

  • Use a minimal amount of moisturizing ointment, provided by the artist.

  • Keep brows away from water for 7-10 days.

    • We recommend face cleansing with a cotton pad and micellar water. â€‹

  • No picking at the scabs.

  • Avoid direct sunlight or tanning for at least 4 weeks after the procedure.

  • No facial scrubs or peels for at least 4 weeks after.

  • Avoid sleeping on your face for at least 10 days after the procedure.

Client Testimonials

"Jordan is AMAZING and very talented! Very professional and a joy to spend time with! She is thorough and great at communicating the process and setting expectations! This has been a game changer for me. I had splotchy, thinning, misshaped eyebrows before Jordan. I always had to put my eyebrows "on" and that made me feel like I had to do everything. I could never go for the natural t-shirt and jeans look and not feel insecure. Not anymore!! I highly recommend!"
